Anyone who knows anything about Lesnar and has followed his career for any length of time should know that this story about him walking out when he heard Vince was gone is 100% true. He's an old-school dude that knows what he's worth and has always negotiated like this. He's also loyal and only respects a handful of people. If he left Nu Japan for Inoki, of course he wasn't going to take Vince leaving lying down.
