The whole sister thing is interesting. I wonder if she is doing actual R&D, or maybe Maki exaggerated her position (intentionally or not). Regardless, it was probably tough for her considering their respective paths in life. Whether or not her family was judging her, I'm sure it would have been difficult not to compare yourself to your sister who fits the traditional "high achiever" archetype.
She did seem to have a great time in Fukuoka between visiting with family and training with Tajiri. She was beaming about how many kids were at the show. I think that means a lot to her for whatever reason. I'm happy for her.
