2k23 is pretty good so far honestly. I'd say the game is largely improved. They've slowed the pace significantly and wrestlers sell a lot more now which gives the matches a nice bit of realism.
HOWEVER a lot of the more arcadey new 2k22 animations remain and look quite janky and out of place with the older (and conversely newer) animations.
Haven't messed with the new Universe mode stuff yet but I can tell you it's vastly improved because most of it seems to work this time. 2k22's universe was an unmitigated fucking disaster.
Also I've noted way better PC performance and load times (thank fucking god).
If you're hurting for money, I wouldn't pay 100 bucks for the deluxe, haven't gotten deep enough into the game to fully recommend it for 60 yet but I'll probably end up doing it. Optimistic so far -- it'll be nice when the good CAWs roll out.
