She slumps to the floor. Every inch of her body aches. Her ears ring viciously. But she's alive. Can the same be said of Skelly's friend? She gazes at the shattered glass and the thick smoke of the explosion. Probably not.
She starts laughing, if the pained wheezes she musters can even be called that. "T-take that, Stellar Stars," she gasps.
She struggles to her feet, and starts to gingerly walk away, using the wall for support. After this, Ash Romero will have to wait a few more days, all Nikki can think of right now is making it back home, soaking in a warm bath and sleeping in a comfortable bed for as long as possible.
