>>14072829Can we all just agree that Dave just says shit because wrestling will never be that hot again and it's so soulless and boring and dead now that he has to say anything and everything to justify his continued obsession for the business? Ooh, wow, WWE is "hotter" and making more money now than in 1998. Who the fuck cares? Indians who now get to watch it on YouTube? I wasn't allowed to watch wrestling in the 90s and only watched it through after I became an adult, but pro wrestling was the fucking HOTTEST thing in pop culture when I was a kid, it was fresh, it was exciting, it put asses in seats, it drew dimes, and everyone was talking about it. Crowds popped over awesome moments and they were rowdy and full of alphas and sigmas with their cute girlfriends and all you could see was a sea of signs. The marks were in the crowd, not in the ring, and the ring was filled with tall, roided to the gills, charismatic alpha men who had just paid their dues over the prior 10-15 years trying not to get stabbed by fans who hated them for being heels. Today's wrestlers are short, skinnyfat, charisma vacuums who get worked by fans hard and go on Twitter when a crowd has the AUDACITY to boo a woman's wrestler or say something mean about the gays or vote for an alpha like Trump instead of gay/trans/BLM loving Biden. It's fucking pathetic. Dave is so irrelevant it hurts. I'm not saying there aren't great moments in WWE today but it's a shell of its former self, but it is very well run as a business, but who the fuck cares? 1.7M viewers vs 6.9M+ viewers, simple as.
