And Mace could have been a giant black ninja 2000s trope who could have played both the comical angle that comes nature to him and also still be serious.
They would play everything off as being ninja culture, they would call each other and their fans ninjas. They could do big spots that could actually put Manny over despite being a 6 foot Stickman because "he's a ninja" so it's more believable.
They could ham up their stupid antics but still be serious and a threat like the Dudley's were.
