I'm not just talking about AEW, I meant the indie style in particular. We all know 99% of AEW fans were the type to watch PWG or ROH or whatever back in the day. Sure, the workrate shit can be cool sometimes with guys like Danielson, Benoit, Eddie etc. but they were all still in the actual realm of wrestling and not wrestling a meme style. This all seems to me just like a hipster movement, where the fans of a certain genre just want to be hecking unique and different and like their own niche to the point where their brains immediately dismiss anything that's popular.

In my personal opinion, he's top 3 at least in the past 20 years. He came up at a time where every 2nd wrestler was a roided up meathead and he never really had any sort of character until cowboy Brock, despite all that he managed to break out as one of the top draws, single handedly put UFC on the map as well. His in ring work is unmatched and the IT factor he has is insane. Even in his 40s he just kept improving, became interesting on the mic, developed a cool character and so on.
