"Someday in the Rain" is the most surreal work of art I have ever seen in my whole life. It legitimately gives me anxiety whenever I watch it. I have rewatched this episode more times than any other episode of anime or television. The scene with Yuki reading the same books over and over while voices are heard outsides freaks me out. It scares me like how The Shining used to scare me as a kid. Watching this episode is like mainlining a drug; I instantly feel more connected to the universe by virtue of feeling like I've been put through something traumatic. I. Love. This. Episode. But damn does it fuck me up.
