The representative very quickly got denied and eventually "laughed out the room" after the Khans' camp learned it wasn't a joke. He's very desperate to get back at Steph and especially Triple H, who he feels betrayed him. Any public relationship Steph and Triple H have had with Vince has been for the sake of Linda's public image, which has been a failing effort. Vince is "feeling the heat" from the Grant trial and this is the direction he's been focusing his angered energy into. Do not be surprised if in the coming year or two Vince does all he can to ruin the lives of those he feels have betrayed him since he first stepped down from the WWE.
