>>8924689I don't think there's anything wrong with expanding your moveset, but I think there has to be a point for that expansion. This is an extreme example, but when Kobashi brought out the Burning Hammer, it was because he truly had no other option. It was built up for weeks beforehand, and when he hit it it was the end. Everytime. When Umino brings out that reverse Hitodenashi Driver in his second major singles match ever, without ever hinting at it, against a guy he's in a more or less friendly feud with, AND HE KICKS OUT, that move effectively means nothing already. If he had introduced it a year down the line against a guy he was in a blood feud with and it led to a pin or a rope break, I wouldn't have any issues with it.
