My least fave type of wrestling podcast is mark wants to host a podcast but knows that absolutely nobody would wanna watch it so he teams up with some old boomer wrestling figure who would bring in numbers who wants to start a podcast because its the hot new thing in the wrestling world but he's too old to figure it out technology wise and then they pretend its that wrestler's podcast when its really the hosts.
I can't stand them, other than when the old wrestler shares old wrestling stories but they eventually run out of them. Its mostly the host askng the wrestler about current wrestling events even though the wrestler clearly doesn't keep up with modern wrestling anymore or knows who anyone is and so the host spends half the time reminding them and usually its misinfo and then the wrestler gives some quick "WELL I THINK THATS RIDICULOUS BACK IN MY DAY" thing. They're just a struggle to listen to.
Pic very much related. This video is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Half the video is them trying to figure out what Matt Hardy's wife (well now ex I guess) is called and how its pronouned, the rest is them struggling to watch a TikTok and Dutch "reacting" to it but the host has to explain what Reby's doing (putting on the edge shirt) and WHY thats significant. Its like why would anyone wanna know Dutch Mantell's thoughts on this when he clearly has zero context or information on it? If you have to step by step explain the story, then clearly Dutch has no opinion on it.
