He was constantly pushing babyface angles that no one cared for, Brandi was shoved in promos and feuds, that fucking reality tv show he had, and in general it just felt like he wasn't on the same page as everyone else in the company. He was a protagonist no one was buying into.
I would have liked if he turned heel but Cody really wanted to be a face loved by the crowd and combined that with the money he's getting in WWE, it only makes sense why he jumped ship.
