Wrestling shows should never be longer than an hour.
Most matches on TV should be squash matches, used to get the faces over as faces and the heels over as heels.
There should be interviews with guys, not them walking out to the ring with a microphone, but structured interviews, with questions about who they are and what they're trying to do, so they get over as faces or heels.
The speculation over what happens when the unstoppable force meets the unmovable object only sells tickets if people haven't seen it on TV already. Same thing with the plucky underdog taking on the notorious cheater. Or the super hero taking on the monster.
The only reason to ever do an angle or a "storyline" is because you're already in trouble and can't draw based on people wanting to see the good guys win and the bad guys lose.
Also talent is meant to be cycled through, especially heels.
