>>9003214I don't think it's necessarily "siding" with Phil, if he comes back. I think the only way Phil returns to AEW is if he's put in his lane and stays there. The locker room was praised until he got there and then it started deteriorating. Phill is an actual cancer and unless he changes his attitude and stops being such a prick, learning to play the game, he'll always fuck up the backstage dynamic.
And Phil will never change.
I would have preferred that Tony used this time to build new guys to take Punks place instead of defaulting to Mox (who 100% has go away heat with me, brother) and Jericho (who also needs to take a few months off). AEW has felt like it's been spinning wheels since All Out 2022 and this is obvious when you look at the stop/start pushes, hot potato titles, and the new signings.
