On his comedy run in the Buu Arc
>Shit man that was some fun times! I was brought in as a one and done with the Cell Games, Toriyama had me on a per appearance deal. Originally I was just supposed to eat the punch from Cell and then go home and count my cash. It was Goku and Yamcha, who was working as a producer alongside Raditz at the time, they came up and said my sell job was hilarious and they thought there was something there, they said they'd speak to Toriyama about getting me back. So I travel all the way home, a train ride, a taxi, a plane, another car ride and I swear I had just sat down on the couch, got the wife to grab me a cold beer and I get this phonecall from Yamcha telling me Toriyama wants me back tomorrow, I'm going to play in to the finish of the whole PPV. I thought I was being ribbed but then I get this email offering a 3 year contract - they want me not only in the PPV proper but working a whole undercard program with 18 and the kids. See that 3 year run? That paid for my entire lifestyle. They've got me on a non-contact contract just now where I just turn up for talking segments just now, my body ain't what it used to be, but it blows my mind that a single sell job was enough to set my career trajectory for the rest of my life. Love working with the boys, and any time I get that call to come in and do a backstage segment you know I'm going ASAP.
