But even now, just watch him when he was in NXT for a bit last year, dude legit came across like a big deal because he was presented that way and can pull it off. Has the look, the talking ability and the work, total package.
Morrison, great look and entertaining wrestler but wasn't a good enough talker.
Shelton, same deal as Morrison but a black guy.
Sheamus was a main event guy for a pretty long time in the early years of his career. He definitely could be again now if they wanted him to be.
Cody was the most plain, vanilla, midcard guy out of EVERYONE in that generation and look at him now. Honestly at the end of the day with the right mindset and willingness to improve on weaknesses, most if not all of these guys could have been legit main eventers if pic related could be. Obviously some would have more to work on than others but Cody is the proof it could be done.
