They can't even handle production staff talking back to them or making a comment, so how the fuck would they handle internet trolls on twitter and some of the comments people make on the internet? So the industry knew quick just to get their PR people using their Twitter instead and just make generic tweets that look like they're "interacting" with each other while subtly promoting their brands/movies/etc.
Nobody gave wrestling the memo, so they just let their stars on Twitter and now they've reaped the consequences. Everyone's been exposed.
Also agreed on the character socials thing. Current twitter is half kayfabe half not kayfabe and its really confusing. One tweet will be completely in character and the next they'll be praising the person they just did shitty feud tweets with. Or the most often case, they'll work themselves into a shoot.
