His instructions were to work a competitive match, not to try and mat wrestle Goldberg. If he had been a serious veteran, he would've played to Goldberg's strengths and made him look good, instead he forced him into a style he couldn't work and made him look like shit. So either Regal isn't as good as he thinks he is in the ring or he intentionally made a fool of Goldberg
