AEW peaked with this version of Jamie Hayter.
Each week it was main event cake factory with her and Kris Statlander living large, but then they had to go forward with the failed Thunder Rosa experiment and Jamie subsequently walled herself and at that point it all went to hell.
Her title reign has been terrible. Her matches are great but shes still being treated as an avatar for Britt Baker and theres no stories going on with her at all. Kris Statlander also blew her leg out again.
After the post show brawl, AEW lost all momentum and credibility. The title had at this point been stripped so many times and we saw so much interim bullshit it was hard to care anymore, and the current face of the company is the guy who shit on the company over and over again in front of the execs of the company as he paid lip service to WWE. How is it a successful business model logically when you are competing and "at war" with WWE?
It all just feels meaningless and Tony Khan isnt a respectable person. He's a mark who loses showing off his toys and presents nothing noteworthy on a week to week basis.
AEW cuts down their talent to pick up WWEs scraps without thinking through the ramifications.
WWE lets talent go because "fuck it, we can elevate others until the people buy into it."
