The reason why she's getting a bump in the polls now is because Democrats are relieved to have Biden stepping down, and Kamala is the new "shiny object" in the room. So of course you're gonna have a honeymoon period. Once she's had her time in the spotlight, people will remember what an unlikeable fake girlboss she is.
One of the reasons why Biden beat Trump in 2020 is because Trump lost white men. Trump actually gained with every other demographic in 2020 except white men. The white men who didn't want to vote for Hillary in 2016 voted for Trump. But they switched back to Biden in 2020. You will lose all that and more with Kamala as the face of your party.
