Call me contrarian but at the time all I could wonder was why Flair was suddenly put on a pedestal after years of being a geek in his post-WCW run and why I was supposed to think there was deep history between the two when prior to this their paths had only ever crossed on TV during Shawn's Evolution feud in which Flair was playing fourth fiddle. The whole feud was 'tell don't show' and it didn't work for me, brother.
