The entire united states isn't even close to the top. Ban all the plastic drinking straws and grocery bags you want, you could get to 0 and not make half a dent in global waste and pollution. Also that has nothing to do with climate change or warming the planet. The only reason to recycle is because that is preferable to over filling landfills with shit.
