There's definitely a huge difference between 2003 and 2007.
I'd divide it as 2003-2005, 2006-2011, 2012-2016, 2016-2020 and 2020-current
As for what era would be considered the attitude era, It's hard to say. On one hand you have Fox News losing their shit over 4chan early on and those Habbo hotel shenanigans from /b/. I think I'd consider that the ECW era equivalent, since it's edgy but largely irrelevant, so it doesn't line up cleanly with WWE.
But in terms of actual attitude era, you had 4chan at its faggiest and really going all out with muh attitude on 2012, which then resulted in the huge newfaggotry wave in 2014 and then all the political meme warfare from there until 2016. It sucked and was 4chan at its worst, which fits the Attitude Era that the boomers love to overrate. So 2012-2016 would be Attitude Era to me.
Then 2016-2020 is definitely the PG era, when /pol/ becomes all the QAnon tier literal baby boomers and the full effects of moot selling the website off start showing themselves.
