Hashimoto wanted to create produce shows similar to what Fujinami got with MUGA or LOCK UP in the future, but was denied. When he left New Japan he used his ideas to create a new promotion called Zero-One, which humorously enough had it's on March 2nd 2001. A 3-2-1 you could say.
Story goes that the logo was designed by a small Indie wrestler that would work for the promotion, Fugo Fugo Yumeji, if it's true then he made a really cool logo. The promotion had a cult following, especially for it's foreign talent that gave the Japanese crowds the different regions of Indies that America had. The West Coast style showman style from the likes of Tom Howard, and the East Coast workrate from the likes of Low Ki. The crowds even loved the overweight Olympian Matt Ghaffari.
But by 2004, the company was losing too much money, not even HUSTLE paydays could help. Hashimoto had to leave his own promotion and leave wrestling. He did plan on returning, but passed away in 2005, in the house of Kodo Fuyuki's widow.
Hashimoto's Zero-One is the best version of Zero-One, I wish they could improve to be on par. But now it's just the Masato Tanaka show.
