>>12795794Ok so I was pretty tipsy and in a severely inebriated good mood last night so I rewatched this and downgraded it, but I still think this is pretty a solid 3 star match and if you go .25 in either direction I'm ok with it but it seems that people hate this match seem to have completely different reasons for hating it.
>Perma-butthurt VDS smarks who Toni's gimmick no matter what>Cornette Anti-Riho "unbelievable offense" dorks>Joshi lost to Westerner, therefore match sucks marksMy only complaints about this match are that I wish Riho got to show more of her high-paced stuff before selling the back for the rest of the match, Riho coming up short on the dive to the outside and nearly kneecapping Toni, and then having the always clunky Storm One be the finish instead of Storm Zero.
Other than that, I don't know what else they could've done to satisfy you. Short of completely cutting Luther's spots out of the match, they pulled back on a lot of the schtick that people bitched about in the first couple Timeless Toni matches with the jobbers and the title match with Shida and it's not like Riho turned into in Hogan. They clearly worked a small vs "bigger" woman match here and for the most part the psychology was on point. And even though the crowd was still clearly behind Toni for the match, they popped for Riho's comebacks. I don't see a valid "non-mark" reason for why anyone would think this match is below average. To me this is as good as it get without specifically telling the women to go "steal the show".
