It will probably never happen because it's just easier to streamline one story, but I wish someone would revisit this concept (though I guess in a way Mdickie games kind of work like this). If you want to make it to the big leagues, you've got be over in X number of smaller promotions/territories and if you fuck around and start losing or do other dumb shit you can demoted back down. Maybe instead of having an actual story, you just have a certain number of years to go before your career just ends (or early retirement from injuries).
