This kind of argument reminds me of TNA where the older guys like Nash and Hall came into the company and didn't earn anyone's respect and then found themselves surprised when TNA would order on the fly promos about them and when they stirred up drama. Because they didn't bother to put in the same bit of effort nor start on the same standing as each other.
TNA was notoriously bad at that time as a company and also had no real control from figureheads, a lot of people didn't communicate within the company (not the wrestlers). Famous example being Joe cutting a promo against Nash and friends then they thought he went into the business for himself despite being told just before going out that he needed to address a no-showing.
Its incredibly clear to me this is happening again with AEW. There's no doubt a few people who've "got it", who seem to be fine and have no complaints from what I know about, that being guys like Sting, Christian, Joe, etc, the problem though is that all these guys have worked at numerous companies and locker rooms where they've had to earn respect or establish working relationships with guys in the back, and they've not really failed. You could argue Joe had issues but that's more on TNA as a company. Nash wasn't even upset to the point Punk was, he was just pissed.
I'd argue even Jericho hasn't "got it", but I think that's because his ego is so big that it can't fit in the locker room.
