Honestly, I think this might have been part of the negociations with Mercedes. They tried to do that to retain Bryan and I think there was a lot more to win from a partnership with New Japan, but we'll see where this ends. I think Bushiroad has to remember how Rossy's negociations with WWE went in 2019. These people couldn't care less about other promotions, they just want to stay on top and take all the good names for them. It doesn't matter if it's Vince, HHH or any corporate man in management.
Stardom doesn't need WWE at all. They don't need anyone. They've shown they can have massive growth completely on their own even during a freaking pandemic. They have nothing to win here no matter how much the WWE fans insist on the exposure and all that stuff.
