> beyond the training you’ll receive your number one priority should be ring work. Always put away the ring, always put up the ring. Learn how to disassemble and put it back together like your life depends on it. Make sure the ring is immaculate, make sure you alway make it look pretty. If no one is taking care of it, that’s your opportunity . Ring work is underrated and will always get you kudos from the boys and the promoter. You’ll earn respect just by taking of it like it’s your first born. This advice can be applied to any new trainee but for refs it’s your bread and butter . I know a guy who’s super over on the west coast now just by being a good ring hand and now he’s getting booked everywhere because hes a good guy.
