Like, his style looks so comical. For a long time I thought he was a comedy gimmick like Orange Cassidy. But then people like Dave Meltzer talked about him like he wasn't a comedy act. I don't get it, I guess. I mean he's doing somersaults and cartwheels and flips that don't even connect and then he makes a pose like Hurricane Helms. And it's not just one match, he does these flips and rolls into a Marvel movie pose in every match.
Even when he is supposedly being a serious boy he has no psychology. I mean it wasn't but about a month or two ago that he kicked out of a diving tombstone piledriver onto steel steps. Him and his opponents do not sell. Like they don't do the basics of wrestling and so all their moves look weak.
So you can say I don't like pro wrestling but I feel like what Ospreay does is the furthest away from traditional pro wrestling that anyone has gotten. I genuinely feel like the stuff Nick Gage does is closer to pro wrestling than what Will Ospreay does.
And with how bad Ospreay's matches do in the tv ratings that I'm not alone.
Meltzer and the Cagematch crazies can attach a million stars to his matches. But it still won't change the facts and facts aren't paying to watch him because the arenas are empty. People aren't tuning into watch him because the ratings are down. In fact, when he comes on the tv, AEW literally loses viewers.
