"Forbidden Door" was a great concept when NJPW was strong, nowadays NJPW is in the mud with almost all of their stars either jumping to AEW, or getting old and sawdusted. Nobody in America cares about beaners, and Stardom isn't going to move many tickets.
Foreign promotions just aren't strong enough any more for this to be a top tier PPV. A good, successful show, yeah, but its ceiling is much lower this year and the tickets reflect that.
