A thought just occurred to me today. Stardom works pretty stiff and also frequently has shows on the weekends now that it is basically a weekly show. My first introduction into Japanese pro wrestling was with NJPW, which also works a very stiff style but do not have weekly shows with the same talent. My thought was that not having a weekly show meant that talent could go harder in the ring while allowing with enough time for their bodies to recover. Also that is why multi person tag matches are the norm so as to not put all the strain on the body with having singles matches. My first question is, has anyone noticed a change in the style since Stardom shifted to having weekly shows to ease up to prevent wear and tear? Obviously the matches on the show are still the same as there is typically a singles match between someone on the bottom of the card with an upper mid-card talent. There is always going to be a triple threat match, and then there are multi person tag team matches. Another question I have is, can Stardom keep this up in the long run with having quality matches that are more on the stiff side? Also does this mean working a stiffer style is not as bad as others make it out to be?
