Anyone who thought they were getting renewed without huge pay cut were fucking insane. There is no one way a show drops by such a MASSIVE amount and gets to keep the deal they have much less get a better one.
Just because Dave Meltzer tells cops to make you feel better and less anxious about just how bad your favorite show is doing doesn't change reality.
Reality is AEW is an ice cold property with consistently falling ratings that has quite literally never turned a profit for Tony. AEW operates in the red and if Tony's dad wasn't a billionaire AEW would have ended already.
AEW most likely will not be renewed. If it is renewed it will be for pennies and no where close to the original deal.
In fact there is a very real possibility Tony either PAYS OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET for a timeslot from WBD or he is forced to create a website lile he did with
