A career midcarder became a top guy after cozying up to the bosses daughter. This eventually resulted in what fans call a reign of terror. What happens when you push a midcarder? Mid ratings at best. RAW’s ratings dropped and eventually surpassed the historic low ratings from 1997. You could argue that the Reign of Terror alone killed wrestling as WWE never really recovered from it.

NXT was an immediate failure on TV. It lost to AEW (more on them later) and was moved to another night. Once again, fans rejected HHH. Now HHH is in charge of every WWE show and they're all starting to reek of Black and Gold NXT. That Black and Gold NXT that wrestling fans have rejected for years. And for some odd reason, Tony is turning AEW into WWE/NXT lite. Tony even copies HHH's ROH lite formula. All fans have now is HHH, and the fans will reject him again as they always do. HHH killed wrestling
