These answers are always, always fucking cope. Nearly every ex-WWE guy and NXT midget were guys that the AEW crowd were clamoring for, insisting they'd flourish without Vince creative. The internet marks who watch AEW absolutely loved Keith Lee, Miro, Malakai Black, Bryan Danielson, etc. And Adam Cole and the Undisputed Manlets were also desired, and had several matches that got five Meltzer snowflakes. Criticize Tony Khan all you want, but this is unironically him listening to his audience.

My guess is Fallon. Maybe Kelani if they wanted a big babyface win and to springboard her more. But Fallon is the one in there that they're developing and pushing who has the most credibility, so it'd go a way of legitimizing the title. Lash is a good pick too, but she doesn't need as much, being involved in one of the bigger angles on the show right now. Sol and Jaida just aren't ready yet and don't seem to be in line for a push, and Michin is there to lead the match mostly.

I like Mark, but I wouldn't have booked him either. The obese smarks who make the fan base have finally resorted to bitching about "muh ex wwe" guys, and that's largely with talent they wanted to fantasy book. Mark isn't appreciated by them outside of his worked retirement promo, plus he has heat for being critical on Busted Open. Would've just been bad optics for that crowd.

I think most matches on TV ought to be 5-10 min. Not only that, but give them 15 min time limits that's acknowledged on air, so you have another few finishes in the repertoire.
