>>11796772Irrelevant. Edge and Christian were nobodies before WWE. They had no indie buzz, they were never featured anywhere of note, absolutely nobody on Earth knew who they were. Their work in WWE is 100% of the reason they became stars. Christian left before for TNA so him jumping isn't as noteworthy.
Compare that to guys like Danielson, Punk, Joe, Cole, Claudio, Jericho, or Mox, they made big names for themselves or had already established themselves as top tier wrestlers before going to WWE. Other guys that left made it pretty clear that they just hated WWE because they were used right, like PAC (and Claudio again).
Edge going to AEW is the biggest jump in decades. Even more so than, for example, Kurt going to TNA, because WWE essentially fired him for not going to rehab and that was his only choice. Edge is a big star that WWE made, and wanted to keep, but he chose to go the other way after spending decades there and being a top guy for the last half of his career.
