>>13900367Because while the "athleticism" has gone up, the in-ring storytelling has been at its absolute worst. Most modern wrestlers can't sell, they can't tell a story in the ring, most of the feuds have little to no heat and some of it looks so choreographed, you can't suspend your disbelief for more than 10 seconds.
It's fucking horrendous how with the technical quality having improved, the storytelling has plummeted to disastrous levels.
