I watched the two tag matches against FTR, but I can't bear with the US-style presentation even if I had loved everything going on, but something still felt like it was missing. From what I've gathered from the board he hasn't exactly been treated as deserved since either.
He was absolutely my favorite wrestler in the world until the day he left NJPW, and he would probably still be if he was presented the same way. I agree with you, I don't think a US crowd can buy into it the same way, nor does his wrestling style work as well with a western crowd. It's a waste all around.
