>>16809593It's funny because it's really not too difficult to write a decent story out of that premise and get some quality matches along the way, because it is theoretically set up to get a band of babyfaces over with the crowd which is what this company desperately needs, but they always manage to make the worst possible decision on every checkpoint, down to the smallest detail. They're so caught up in the idea of coming across as ''epic badasses'' with seemingly no self-awareness that they end up killing any possible momentum that a babyface might be generating. It's like that one Bob Holly story where he suggested to the creative that he should get the belt so he could then beat everybody with no purpose whatsoever. And man are they terribly sloppy in their execution. From the very first time they attacked Bryan, where they ''held down'' Yuta with the most lackluster hug ever, and then Mox killed Darby's potential Crow Sting moment by just beating him in the middle of the ring with a stupid choke hold after they built up as this stable as incredibly dangerous, you could tell that it was going to shit the bed. They're neither violent enough, nor technically proficient enough, nor conniving enough, nor mysterious enough, nor despicable enough. But they certainly want you to believe that they indeed check all of those boxes, which makes them so much lamer. Lame ass adolescent tier bullshit. Get some fuckin writers.
