I always thought it was silly to value someone else's opinion over your own, and even if I did care about his opinion, his taste seems to wildly differ from mine to a point where I wouldn't be interested either way.
You do have a point in that he's introducing people to more sides of wrestling, sure. If that was all he did, I wouldn't have a problem with him. My problem's that he's such a trendsetter.
