The stuff with Uncle Howdy is a feint. The plan right now is to bring Bo Dallas back and pair him with Dexter Lumis and do a fuckboy/dudebro gimmick ala Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian's Bad Influence team from TNA.
Bo pitched this as a counter to Hunter wanting a Wyatt family gimmick after he learned that the stable would exist solely to get Alexa Bliss over as far as focus being entirely on her and Bo and the others as her flunkies.
Dexter, who was going to be in the gimmick, came up with the idea of ripping off Bad Influence with Bo and got Ciampa and Gargano on board, with the two cosigning to this idea and wanting to feud with Bo and Dexter and R-Truth/Miz as well wiling to work with Dexter and Bo.
Alexa Bliss isn't happy, but Dexter bringing in the above four has convinced Hunter to go along with this. As it stands, the plan right now is for Dexter to be revealed to be Uncle Howdy as part of a fake-out reveal before Bo shows up and the two basically handwaving the entire Uncle Howdy gimmick as a psy-ops to get rid of Bray; the later of which Bo is pushing for, since he'd rather go the "I hate Bray and fuck him" route than allow Alexa to basically fuck Bray's corpse one last time to try and steal his heat.
