Every promo is scripted except for the top top guys with extensive tenure like Cena and maybe Roman (though you can tell when he's scripted because he talks like a nog when he's ad libbing).

I don't know what you should even call it but it ain't wrestling.
Real pro wrestling is guys going off the cuff, preparing their own words, communicating directly to the audience and creating a connection. Wrestling promos are based because the guy giving them is both the writer and the actor. That makes them special.
When it's some fucking C-tier WWE guy porn-acting and saying some super unnatural shit like "S-SUFFERIN' SUCCOTASH," it's unbearable to me.
So yeah, AEW is definitely better than WWE to me because at least it's wrestling.
At least those guys are TRYING to cut real promos that aren't written by someone else. They're sinking and swimming with their own talent.
That's the only way you can get better at being a pro wrestler, which is why most everyone in WWE fucking sucks and never improves except for guys with tons of experience who have also worked elsewhere (like LA Knight).
