That shit you quoted is laughable. Many of the most charismatic people ever never used 'open and expansive gestures', nor did they maintain eye contact. For example, James Dean's whole thing was being withdrawn and brooding and he's considered one of the most charismatic people to have lived. There are many charismatic heartthrobs that have a similar vibe.
It's an x-factor than is impossible to define. If you are reading books or blogposts written by some Ranjeet on how to be charismatic, then you can be assured you don't have it and never will.
