I hate smarkfaggots but Danielson is hardly the person that deserves all the hate. I watched wrestling a shit ton in his hay day in the WWE and, while he was hardly someone I'd specifically tune in to watch, he also doesn't have massive go away heat with me like the gymnastics tranny over in AEW or a sizable portion of the current WWE roster. I do not care for le technical flyer wrestling either, but his matches were legitimately good as far as making things look real and not hokey, his style was grounded and about the most athletic shit he would do was the middle rope dive to the outside of the ring, also he came up at a time when most of the roster were still regular, old school wrestlers so that style stuck out in a positive way. For better or for worse, he was more or less the Rey Mysterio after Rey Mysterio. He was never presented as a legitimate threat, rather an underdog. Yeah, he can't cut a promo for shit, but neither could Rey and he was mega over at one point for his character alone, much like Danielson. All in all, he's really inoffensive when it comes to the smark favorites, and he definitely made his stuff work. The modern faggots are the ones who really deserve all the hate, the mid 2000s ROH guys still had a semblance of a clue even if they were a far cry from the generation that came prior.
