A treasured video from 12 years ago is revealed for the first time.
Matcha, the first Thai female pro wrestler, debuted under the name "Blue Lotus" in Gatoh Move.
She has loved pro wrestling since she was a child and has always wondered why there are no pro wrestling organizations in Thailand. Then, 12 years ago, Emi Sakura, who came from Japan, founded Thailand's first pro wrestling organization, Gatoh Move.
At the time, the pro wrestling community was booming in Thailand and people often gathered together. One day, a Thai man named Pumi, who was already famous among Thai pro wrestling fans, announced that he would be founding a pro wrestling company with Emi Sakura, causing a stir.
When Matcha found out that Emi Sakura was coming to Thailand, she immediately wanted to become a pro wrestler. She immediately joined Gatoh Move and, under the guidance of Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama, debuted as Thailand's first female pro wrestler under the name Blue Lotus.
It was difficult for her the first few years, with training and matches on the mat and few matches, but now she is truly proud of what they have built. She has come to Japan several times with Gatoh Move, and at Gatoh Move's first Korakuen Hall event, she faced Mizuki (then MIZUKI) in the opening 6-person tag match.
This is her first visit to Japan in 9 years since 2015. She will be competing in TJPW for the first time to take back the Thai belt that was taken by Harajuku Pom. When she last came to Japan, she was a rookie Blue Lotus, but now she is Matcha, with 11 years of experience. Her dream is to succeed as a professional wrestler in Japan. To become the TJPW champion.
Matcha is still proud of what she learned from Sakura Emi, and has been carrying the hopes and happiness of Thai fans on her shoulders, and will appear in a title match for the Thai throne at Korakuen Hall on December 29th.
