What a mess. Jamie Hayter breaking free from Britt? Scrapped to make way for Saraya's debut. Saraya and Britt enter into a feud where the promos are so confusing and poorly thought out that nobody can tell who is the face and who is the heel. Don’t believe me? Saraya admitted as such. Now Saraya has turned heel just months after her heroic return from injury and she's pulled Toni Storm to the dark side because….they're both ex-WWE stars? How does this make sense when 1) In Saraya's comeback promo she took a shot at WWE by saying she finally had a boss who listened. 2) Toni Storm was already in AEW for six months before Saraya even arrived and was women's champion. She seemed fine with the 'originals' back then. 3) In storyline, Toni already has reasons to be pissed at Britt and Hayter, why add the 'ex-WWE' factor to it? All they have to do is have Toni Storm cut a promo to explain her motivations. She was the champion, she lost via shenanigans and in the process got injured. In the time she was gone Hayter and Britt became fan favourites, now she wants revenge not only on them but on the fans who have forgotten her. That's all. But this company is incapable of allowing women near a microphone or allowing stories to be fleshed out, so all this shit goes unexplained. It's beyond frustrating knowing a good story could exist here, but the unfocused booking means we're adding unecessary layers, leading to everything becoming muddied and confused and thus fans not caring (as evidenced by the horrible rating this week).
