Please tell us what kind of work you are doing now.
>I am in charge of product planning, manufacturing, and sales management for the women's professional wrestling organization "STARDOM." I handle a variety of goods, including apparel, acrylic products, and photo books.
>My main responsibility is planning what we call "portraits," which are large-format bromides of all the players. For portraits, I am in charge of everything from design planning, material selection, on-site direction, and even requesting autographs. In addition to portraits in game costumes, we also have special seasonal versions such as yukata, Halloween, and Christmas, so we release new versions in short intervals.
>Merchandise does not simply lead to increased sales, but also plays an important role in keeping the brilliance of the players and the appeal of the organization in the hands of fans.
What kind of team are you working with now?
>Currently, a team of six people, including my boss and senior colleagues, are involved in almost all merchandise production. When collaborating with external brands, we work in cooperation with other departments, but basically the six of us are in charge of overall management and progress.
>The team atmosphere is very bright and communication is lively. We have frank discussions, including casual conversations, on a daily basis, and work while sharing information and reporting. Product team meetings are held at regular intervals each week, but product planning is often done outside of meetings, where we deepen understanding through regular, friendly discussions and confirm things as we create products.
