He lost 200k or something back in the early 90’s running it for a few months. Just booking guys like Bam Bam Bigelow. It would be untenable for almost any person, even one really well off. Even Rick Rubin closed the pocketbook for SMW and he’s someone you’d assume has bottomless funds but that’s not the case. Tony and his dad actually do have almost unlimited funds. They are rich on level that’s hard to wrap your head around though. if his father’s sports teams are any indication, he doesn’t care about having middling product. He cares about having what he wants.
Not having to fight to stay afloat may prevent them from becoming a legit contender like you’re saying. The only wildcard being TKO running things and not spending on the same level as Tony. What happens in 2 or 3 years if Tony keeps giving out these insane contracts WWE never would have matched anyway? Who is going to be left on the roster over there? WWE was never going to pay Ospreay, Okada, Jay White, Sasha etc etc 1/3 of what Tony is paying them. He’s pulling numbers from bizzaro world and he’s not even competing against anyone. What happens if/when he keeps this crazy shit up?
