In this week's observer, Meltzer says Sasha was seeking a salary comparable to what Becky Lynch and Charlotte get, however Dave was told WWE didn't offer her anything close to that. Whoever was speaking to Meltzer said Sasha isn't viewed as someone who will be on top in 5 years and has peaked as a wrestling star, but would generate buzz for the first few appearances should she return.
Meltzer also adds her rep within WWE is one of being very talented in the ring, but has behind the scenes issues that are viewed as problems. (he says this a few paragraphs later while talking about the possibility of her going to AEW)
