I know a lot of people still view Hangman as a half notch below Omega, Bryan Danielson, Punk, and maybe even a couple others. But for me, as someone who hasn’t watched weekly wrestling in 20 years before AEW came along, that guy is my champion. His story, his complex character, his bumps, the look, and his undeniable ability to put on banger matches in any style—all of that makes him the ace of the company to me. Even if he loses at DoN, it’ll still be his story arc I’ll be interested in after. Loved his promo tonight.
